Know Thy Enemy: the Democratic Socialists of America

“Know thy enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles, you will never be defeated.” – Sun Tzu, The Art of War

I was going to do a special for the 200th post (which this is, more or less), but I’ll save that for next time. Instead, I wanted to get this out for our mid-term elections.

About this time last year, I wrote a post called Know Thy Enemy: Racial Communists. This post is a continuation along the same theme. Sort of: Know Thy Enemy, Part II.

You are probably hearing more and more about a group called the Democratic Socialists of America. I certainly am.

Residing on the Left-coast, I could not help but notice that as the tear gas cleared and the purple-haired, mask wearing reprobates called Antifa slowly crawled back under their rocks, an increasing number of similar smelling people were making inroads into our school boards, city councils, and public-employee unions. Welcome to the Democratic Socialists of America. It is time to pay attention. Who are these people?

History

The DSA was founded in 1982 with the merger of the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee (DSOC) and the New American Movement (NAM).

The former, the DSOC, was founded in 1973 by the socialist Michael Harrington. It was a union or amalgamation of Old Left (that is to say, primarily Marxist) social democrats, trade union leaders and progressive youths. Their goal was to work as a pressure group inside the mainstream Democratic Party to push the Democrats as far left as possible while simultaneously driving out the more conservative Southern wing; their ultimate objective being to transform it into a social democratic party.

The New American Movement was founded in 1971 by Jew Michael Lerner and other former members of the Students for a Democratic Society, the main campus-based organization of the New Left, focused on social issues as opposed to economic. The organization was further developed by Jew Dorothy Ray Healey, a longtime leader of the Communist Party in America. NAM developed a socialist feminist and Euro-communist orientation, emphasizing Gramscian Marxism, an offshoot of traditional Marxism founded by Antonio Gramsci, which focused on Cultural Marxism.

1979

By the early 1980’s, largely in response to the rise of Ronald Reagan, both organizations saw a need for unity: The DSOC had influential union allies and a foothold in mainstream politics, but with few young activists. The NAM had a more youthful activist base, but lacked the DSOC’s political influence. The two groups merged in March, 1982, becoming the Democratic Socialists of America.

Throughout the 1980s, that is to say during the Reagan years, the DSA functioned as a home for “a diverse group of activists” (some of which you may recognize from the recent shenanigans in our streets during the lock downs, “mostly peaceful” protests, and the Black Looters Matter movement): democratic Marxists, Fabians, religious (mostly Jewish) socialists, former Communists, and labor Zionists (the left-wing, socialist variant of traditional Zionism).

Then, with near perfect timing, founding member Harrington died in 1989, just as Reagan was leaving, communism was collapsing in Eastern Europe, and Bill Clinton was coming to office. Throughout the 90’s and the 00’s, the DSA found it had little to do and struggled for relevance, protesting… well, everything… in an effort to retain its declining membership.

However, in the background, small fractures began to appear. Once designed to influence the Democratic Party from inside and extremely pro-Israel thanks to Harrington’s Zionist leanings, the movement began to part company with mainstream Democrats over trade policy and Clintonesque neoliberalism. They also began to split over the their position on Israel, with many members promoting the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions movement during the war of 2014 (also known as the First Gaza Land Grab).

Then 2016 happened. Jew Bernie Sanders stepped onto the stage and Donald Trump came down an elevator. This resulted in what became known as the “Trump Bump”: a massive influx of younger members as the median age of members dropped from 68 in 2013 to 33 by 2017.

This young blood has morphed the organization, pushing aside its original Jewish and socialist underpinnings to be replaced by more traditional communist and anti-Israel/pro-Palestinian ideology. It has also deepened its ties, if unofficially, to Antifa and other street-terrorist organizations. The national DSA organization would disagree with this assertion, but I know from first-hand experience this is the case.

Since the first Trump administration, the DSA has grown to become the largest socialist organization in the country. And while they still make an effort to control the Democratic Party from the inside, they increasingly support and run their own candidates as well- though under the Democrat or Independent labels for ballot access. They have also used the tried-and-true communist method of starting local, particularly in the union and education sectors: most major cities have DSA members in their local government and on their school boards.

Members

Like a mold growing in the dark, the DSA infiltration of local politics has continued to grow, as this chart shows:

Some highlights:

  • 14% of Chicago’s city council are members of the DSA
  • Portland, Oregon boasts 33%
  • Los Angeles is 26%
  • Richmond, Virginia is 11%
  • 7% of the city council in New York City are DSA members, to say nothing of the DSA poster-child New York Mayor Zohran Mamdami.

This local influence, in turn, has allowed them to develop an increasingly national presence. You may recognize some of the names:

  • Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: New York Congress Woman and possible 2028 presidential candidate
  • Rashida Talib: Michigan Congresswoman
  • Jamaal Bowman: former New York Congressman
  • Cori Bush: former Missouri Congresswoman
  • Jerry Nadler: Jew, former Congressman, and officially a former member of the DSA
  • Bernie Sanders: Jew and Presidential Candidate

Funding

Politics is expensive. The DSA will tell you they are a grass-roots organization funded through member donations. This, of course, is bullshit. The organization itself has a fairly modest budget- but the candidates they support are backed by almost unlimited funds.

Evan Barker, a former Democratic fundraiser, spent five years fundraising for progressive and DSA-affiliated candidates, says, ““This isn’t just a grassroots organic movement. There is real organization. There’s real money behind them…” He sites the Soros family, the Way to Win organization, and other billionaires. The money is funneled through super Pacs. “You know, if you look at Zohran Mamdani, for instance, I believe he was infused with a huge donation into a super PAC by a woman named Liz Simons, who is a [Jewish] billionaire hedge fund heiress.”

Pick any DSA backed candidate and examine the Super PACs funneling money to them. That is how the DSA agenda is really funded. For example, DSA candidate for senate James Talarico of Texas raised over $27 million in the first quarter of 2026, largely through the Lone Star Rising PAC. This, in turn, is funded by a number of shadowy organizations not required to disclose their contributors, as well as Epstein compatriot Reid Hoffman and Jew Adam Pritzker. Yet the entire budget of the DSA is roughly $8 million. Want to see what’s really going on? Look under the table.

Another way the DSA “funds” its activity is by commandeering the resources of other organizations on the sly. Case in point: I know of one local public-employee union that has been taken over by DSA members. They coordinate their efforts, print materials, and use the facilities of the union for their DSA business- all at union expense and largely without the knowledge of the larger dues-paying union population.

Their Platform

Of course, the DSA is not the only political organization to use shadowy funding and hidden agendas. That is par for the course in politics. What matters, ultimately, is what they stand for.

Their website paints a Utopian vision of all races holding hands and singing Kumbaya, enjoying the fruits of someone’s labor (but not their own) with free-housing for all, free healthcare for all, free food for all, reparations for blacks and native Americans, and a new constitution that does away with colonialist America.

Some of their goals and complaints overlap with any Socialists agenda, of course: reigning in the excesses of unbridled capitalism (though they would do away with capitalism altogether), and recognizing the importance of worker welfare over the toys and idle pursuits of the billionaire class. Fine.

But the DSA advocates a world where merit and effort do not matter, to say nothing of race and natural ability. A stark contrast to National Socialism. For the DSA, the farmer who busts his hump from sunup to sundown is on equal footing with the drug-addled panhandler on the street corner. No consideration is given to the individual’s contribution to society.

The DSA calls for:

  • Free education for all, from pre-K through college. This only makes sense: our education system has become the primary indoctrination centers for radical agendas. However, no mention is made of 1) Who is going to pay for it, and 2) the disparate levels of academic ability between students. In other words, more DEI admissions.
  • Free healthcare for all, including “gender-affirming care”, free medical education and training, and more hospitals. No mention of how this is going to be paid for. I guess all doctors are equal- malpractice doesn’t exist in a Utopian society.
  • “Housing is a human right. Build new, publicly-owned social housing, strictly regulate investment properties, establish universal rent control, and guarantee right to counsel for all tenants.” Because, you know, the Projects worked out so well. The key here is the idea of housing being a human right. No mention, again, of the individual’s contribution to society. The working father and mother of a family of four, law-abiding and tax-paying, is on equal footing with the gang-banger shuffling down the street with his pants around his knees.
  • Tax-Whitey: “End the legacies of slavery and colonialism. Reinforce anti-discrimination laws. Honor all treaties and tribal sovereignty. Enact reparations and massively invest in good jobs, quality housing and infrastructure in neglected minority communities.” Because, historically, pouring money into minority neighborhoods has made a huge difference in improving the quality of life there. Oh, wait…no it hasn’t. The key here, again, is the implied anti-White bias: “massively invest” means take from the white people and give to the black and brown people.
  • Abolish the police. Yes, you read that right. Their specific words are: “Demilitarize police departments, disempower police unions, and redirect funding to public services as steps towards fully abolishing the police and prison system which protects the rich and jails the poor.” To be fair, it does make it a lot easier to break the law when there is no one around to enforce it. What is interesting here, to me, is the underlying assumption that there are not people pre-disposed to violence and harming others. It seems to deny a fundamental aspect of human nature.
  • Feminism for all. Which they equate with the Alphabet People having free-reign to do as they will, where and when they will. This is viewed as a laudable attack on the “patriarchy. ” In short, their values will be your values, whether you like it or not. In their mind, there is no such thing as gender. No mention of the impact on women’s sports either.
  • The Green New Deal. This is a bit of a moving target, but it essentially calls for a “massive investment” in sustainable energy- read, more taxes- while phasing out fossil fuels. No mention of the long-term economic impact or how I’m suppose to drive my vintage cars.

As I said, there are a few positions I, and likely any Socialist, would agree with. They go on to promote:

  • “End The US War Machine: Defund the Department of War. End all foreign wars and close overseas military bases. Support and fully employ veterans. End immunity for U.S. war criminals and support the International Criminal Court’s mandate to prosecute war crimes. ” Which is all well and good, but did you notice what is missing? Two words: National Defense. In the DSA Kumbaya World, nations respect each other’s borders (if there are any borders, after all- who needs them), and wars of aggression no longer happen. We’ll get into the covert Chinese funding of the DSA later. I’m sure there is no correlation.
  • “Free Palestine: Recognize the rights of the Palestinian people, including the right of return, the right to resist military occupation, and the right to self determination in a free Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital. End all military and economic aid to Israel. Prosecute U.S. and Israeli leaders responsible for the genocide in Gaza.” I’ll be honest here: this is the one position I agree with in its entirety. But it’s important to note that it is this position that fractured the DSA. Their Jewish members balked at this, while others, like Bernie Sanders, hold their nose and ignore it.
  • “End Blockades, Embargoes, and Sanctions: People around the world deserve to live their lives without U.S. interference. End economic warfare against countries whose governments act independently of the United States, such as Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran. ” While I generally agree with this, I think some provision must be made to acknowledge “bad actors”. But then, the DSA doesn’t mention national defense, so…
  • “Abolish Ice: End ICE detention and deportations and punish federal agents’ brutality. Legalize migration, grant amnesty for all immigrants regardless of status, provide a path to citizenship for all permanent residents, and end visa caps and quotas.” In other words, do away with our borders and turn the country brown. Couple that with their insistence on free housing, free healthcare, free education, and no need to work and you can guess what this would look like. On the other hand, to be fair, if you don’t have national borders, then you don’t need an agency to enforce those non-existent borders.
Remember this? 2019.

Finally, they advocate for what they call a “Working-Class Democracy“, which entails publicly financing all elections, replacing the Executive and Judiciary branches of government with rubber-stamp bureaucrats appointed by Congress and doing away with the Senate. In other words, a classic Soviet government.

In short, the so-called Democratic Socialists of America want to dismantle and destroy America. The key to their success thus far has been their ability to obfuscate their agenda, and to promise everything to everyone (accept those interested in preserving their heritage and culture. No mention is made, anywhere, of heritage or culture on their entire website, to say nothing of their platform). How many people dancing in the street during the No Kings protests, who vote for DSA inspired candidates, have actually taken the time to read the DSA’s platform? I suspect very few.

But now you know. While they call themselves “Socialist”, what they really are is “anti-White”, “anti-European”, “anti-American” and “anti-Meritocracy”.

Know thy enemy.
