I recognize that at first glance the title of this post sounds absurd, suggesting the riots in Los Angeles, and elsewhere, are good news. But bear with me. Thanks to one flag-waving troglodyte, the Liberal Lemmings may have finally overplayed their hand.

Those that read this blog regularly, or listen to the podcast, may have noticed a couple of topics conspicuously absent: the war in the Middle East, and the riots in LA. I have a good reason for this: I don’t care.

Regarding the former issue, Iran and Israel can bomb each other back to the stone-age and it would be a net positive for humanity as far as I am concerned. I feel somewhat sorry for the innocents in Iran, but that is the extent of my sympathy. However, I do resent my tax dollars being spent to prop-up Israel and wish that would stop.

The latter subject, the utterly predictable goings-on in California, is a little more complicated. I know what I am about to say does a severe disservice to our comrades who live behind enemy lines in Commiefornia, and believe me, you really do have my utmost sympathy: I live in a Libtard Republic myself that tries quite hard to emulate California. I can’t imagine how frustrating it is to actually live there.

But, Californians also need to understand (and many do) that the rest of the country by-and-large believes that California is a lost cause and we would be better off just giving the whole thing back to Mexico. As of the 2020 census, 39.4% of the population in California identified as Hispanic or Latino, making it the largest ethnicity in the state.

Couple that with the Limousine Liberals running the government and their Liberal Lemming followers, and you can see why any news coming out of California is greeted with an eye-roll and a deep sigh. I have to remind myself that it is not my White brothers and sisters who are the problem, or even the population generally, but the government in California, their Liberal Lemmings, and the money pouring from Hollywood and Silicon Valley into communist coffers.

Then, frankly, there is fatigue. For as long as I can remember, there has been fighting in the Middle East- literally: The so-called Third Arab-Israeli War started eight months before I was born and I’m in my late 50’s now.

Likewise, I’m old enough to recognize that every few years Blacks in major cities need to upgrade their electronics, so a “protest” turns into a riot, which turns into looting, which turns into free upgrades. If there is nothing to protest, a major league sports victory will suffice. We’ll just call that reparations, shall we?

Plus, with Trump in office and Liberals needing to protest something, anything, to have an excuse for a new piercing and to try out a new hair color, another “mostly peaceful” protest is to be expected. I’ve resigned myself to simply going about my business, armed. If I see a protest, I’ll Google-map a way around it: no harm, no foul. But if you try to pull me from my truck á la Reginald Denny in 1992, I will defend myself. Have a nice day.

Given all this, I am going to hold off on the latest Israeli land-grab for now. But for California, I have good news. I came across an article making the rounds that made me sit up and take notice and left me a little stunned that it was from a mainstream source by a mainstream author. I offer this abridgment and my reasons why I think this is good news below:

Ethno-Nationalism and the ‘Stranger Within Our Gates’ (abridged)

The L.A. riots have powerfully illustrated the glaring contradictions that define the opposition to Trump’s border agenda.  But perhaps no image from the riots distills the contradictions of the open borders ideology better than the one that shows a masked man riding a dirt bike around a burning car while waving a Mexican flag.

Many have commented on the madness inherent in the scene.  This man — presumably a Mexican in the United States illegally — wears a mask to keep his identity private as he exploits and corrupts the American right to peaceful and public protest.  He is the embodiment of the people the left insist are just coming here “in search of a better life.”  But he still flies the flag of the place that he left, the place where his quality of life was presumably inferior.  Yes, he waves the flag of the nation that he now insists he will not return to.

Flying the Mexican flag in the United States is essentially an expression of ethno-nationalism.  It announces one’s affinity and allegiance to the Mexican people, not the nation-state that they abandoned.  And make no mistake: This idea of the nation as a people is defined by ethnic concerns.  It is no coincidence that Mexican-American activists enthusiastically refer to their people as “la raza” — Spanish for “the race.”  Chicano, Tejano, and Mestiza politics is largely defined by concern for ethnic and racial identity.

Understood as a statement of ethno-nationalist sentiment, the man waving the flag from the dirt bike calls for closer consideration.  What he’s really saying is that “his people” are those who share his ethnicity and nationality, and that those people constitute a sovereign nation within a nation.  This is the purest demonstration of where multiculturalism leads: a million tiny sovereign nations masquerading as one, but segregated and unbound, without any allegiance to the larger nation they inhabit.  There will be no assimilation, and there will certainly be no gratitude.  Make no mistake: This is the society that the left celebrates when it insists that “our diversity is our strength.”

This exposes the greatest irony of all.  The Biden administration made clear that its top priority for four years was fighting ethno-nationalist sentiment in America.  When Americans — especially white Americans — center their politics on national, religious, or (God forbid) ethnic identity, they will be surveilled, censored, demonized, arrested, doxxed, debanked, or otherwise humiliated.

But when foreign ethno-nationalists enter the country illegally, burn cars, loot businesses, and openly announce their ethno-nationalism…well, our hands are tied.  Not only do the left recoil at deporting them to their home nations, but they celebrate their ethno-nationalist activism and call for sympathetic Americans to join the cause.

An Associated Press radio broadcast played a clip of a protester imploring observers to join her in defying the enforcement of federal law.  The woman said, “Don’t be afraid to stand up for our people.”  “Our people.”  Which people is that?  That is the “nation within the nation,” premised explicitly on ethnic and nationalist sentiment, the nation that refuses to assimilate to the values and laws of its host, and the nation that the left insist must be defended, and indeed celebrated.

Like many Americans, I sympathize with and accept the guidance of the Jewish and Christian tradition.  We should provide for the stranger within our gates.  We should love our neighbors.  But to suggest that we’re falling short of those ideals in deporting people is preposterous.  In this case, the “stranger” or “neighbor” in question is one who snuck into the house, and who openly denies that the house is, in fact, ours.  Thus, the stranger or neighbor who barged in should not be surprised that upon spitting in his host’s face, he finds that his welcome runs out.

Jesus implicitly affirms the legitimacy of nations in the Great Commission [found in Matthew 28:19-20, which reads]: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.”  We can debate the matter of what, exactly, Christ meant by “nations.”  But at this juncture, that question is peripheral.  The more pressing query is, “Why can’t we have one?”

There are several points in the above article that I found good and interesting. The author does an admirable job of pointing out the inherent hypocrisy of those protesting the deportation of illegal immigrants. What’s more, he underscores that the key-point this issue revolves around is the issue of ethnic identity and of the double-standard we Whites labor under in this, our own country. If I was to go to any other country in the world and protest the sitting government while waving an American flag, how long do you think I would last, never mind how stupid I would look?

Or in this country, if I were to protest the laws and actions of our own government that I believe harm my White brothers and sisters, infringe on my ethnic identity, and which undermine the traditions and culture I hold dear by calling for equal treatment for Whites, burning cars, looting stores, and attacking the police while waving a flag with swastika on it, how much jail time do you think I would be looking at?

And yet, there is good news. The article above shows that our concerns, our demands, as White Americans are slowly, but increasingly, becoming more mainstream. The author is a tenured professor at an American university. He is a respected journalist and writer. He is not, to the best of my knowledge, associated in any way with the alt-right, National Socialist movements, or fringe causes of any sort. And yet, his article hits all the key points any self-respecting National Socialist would hope to make.

This is partly accomplished by using the word “Ethno-nationalism”. It’s a term that is very palatable to academics and the media because it avoids some of the baggage of more loaded terms like “racial identity”. It lacks the National Socialist connection- or so they think. But consider this: Ethno-Nationalism is as a form of nationalism wherein the nation and nationality are defined in terms of ethnicity, with emphasis on an ethnocentric approach to various political issues related to national affirmation of a particular ethnic group.

The central tenet for ethnic nationalists is that nations are defined by a shared heritage, which usually includes a common language, a common faith, and a common ethnic ancestry. This sounds an awful lot like the concept of Volksgemeinschaft: the German idea of a racial or ethnic community; a community founded and organized along ethnic lines preserving and promoting the race, the culture, and the values of the People or Volk.

It was the last sentence, however, which really caught my eye: “The more pressing query is, ‘Why can’t we have one?’”, because, while he likely meant “Americans” generally and not Whites specifically, in a way, it echoes the very first demand found in the What We Stand For section of the American Nazi Party’s website, and indeed, is the ethnic core around which everything else is built [italics added]:

Race:
The union of all Aryans in North America.

We believe that the Aryan population of this continent should be free, along with all the peoples of good will, to pursue its separate destiny according to the principles of self-determination and racial solidarity in a sovereign state representing its vital needs and interests. We must have an all-White National Socialist America; an America in which our children and our grandchildren will play and go to school with other White children; an America in which they will date and marry other young people of our own race; an America in which all their offspring will be beautiful, healthy White babies. We must have an America in which our cultural, social, business and political life is free of alien, Jewish influence; an America in which White people are the sole masters of our own destiny.

In the past I have pointed out that if you were to replace the words “Aryan” and “White” with “Jewish” or “Latino”, and argue for a society free of “White oppressor” influence, the above would be shouted from the rooftops of every university in America and aired daily in our leftist mainstream media (as some form of it often already is). But now, like the first dim rays of dawn teasing their way through the curtains in the morning, we are seeing it being said for Whites as well. We are making progress, and that’s the good news. Don’t give up the fight!
